Carla Morrison is setting the pace for future entrepreneurs. Bowie State University is where Ms. Morrison was trained to pursue a career in Journalism. Upon graduation from BSU, Ms. Morrison was employed as an Assistant Editor for Black Beat Magazine, in New York.

As Ms. Morrison’s career progressed, she worked as the Special Projects Publicity Assistant for Def Jam and Flavor Unit Records. Shortly after her stint at Flavor Unit Records, Ms. Morrison created Chit Chat Communications, the innovative & progressive public relations firm.

Chit Chat Communications was founded in August 1993, in New Haven, Connecticut. During that time, Ms. Morrison developed her craft, by working with local businesses and professionals. In 1995, Ms. Morrison relocated CCC to Atlanta, Georgia, where she focused her efforts on obtaining sports and entertainment clientele.

As Sr. Publicist and President of CCC, Ms. Morrison solicited and obtained her first major client, former Atlanta Falcons’ / Indiana Colts’ player Cornelius Bennett. CCC handled Mr. Bennett’s entire publicity efforts. Soon after obtaining Mr. Bennett as a client, CCC’s clientele began to expand, by adding other Atlanta Falcons’ players, radio personalities as well as popular eatery’s to its’ roster.

  Morrison has since recruited long time friend and   colleague Traci Humphrey as Marketing Director   of Chit Chat Communications. Humphrey   oversees the marketing campaigns that CCC   handles, as well as the video production and   panelists coordination for C. Morrison   Presents… Humphrey has over 10   years   production experience in both television and   live productions. She’s worked for Sony Music, The Essence & Source Awards and currently works for Nickelodeon. Other members of the Chit Chat Communications team are: Ladonna Smith, Educational & Marketing Coordinator for Chit Chat Communications and C. Morrison Presents…, who has over 10 years experience as a Teacher in the Dekalb County and Atlanta Public Schools System(s); Vivian Hughes, Development Coordinator and Accountant for Chit Chat Communications, who has over 10 years accounting experience with the Washington, DC Government; Aileen Harris-Miller, Writer / Editor for Chit Chat Communications, who has over 10 years journalism and photography experience and Araina Williams, business consultant whose 10+ years experience in social work and criminal justice has assisted the Chit Chat Communications team with working in the community.

Carla Morrison is a native of New Haven, Connecticut. She is very active in her community, as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated in Connecticut, as well as a mentor for the Boys and Girls Club of America in Atlanta. Ms. Morrison attends Bethel AME Church in New Haven and Big Bethel AME Church in Atlanta. She is also on the Executive Board of the Pop Smith Little League in New Haven, Connecticut.

With offices in New York, Atlanta and Connecticut, Carla Morrison and CCC has grown tremendously since its early years.
